My client has natural hair and during the summer months she decided she wants a bit more sunshine and so I colored her hair, lol. Her hair is colored with two different shades of copper, copper red and copper gold at the tips, both by Goldwell.
Recently my client rang me and said she needs a change but really don't want any chemicals as she already has color and don't want to change her natural hair texture and so I suggested having a wig. Wigs are great and offer versatility and one of the "protective hairstyles". Wigs are temporary and so my client can alternate whenever she choose to,we then opt for a short pixie cut in a similar color as her own hair,I made this wig using 2pks of Remi Goddess 8" in color 33 and color 27,this simple but beautiful pixie cut is an excellent way to give your hair structure and shape as well as framing your face.

Weave Maintenance!
How can I prevent my weave from tangling?
Avoid using too much products on the hair because it will lead to build up on the hair-which can create problems, use lighter products and in moderation.
Brushing and combing your hair daily helps but don't brush too roughly. If tangling is a major problem and getting out of control it's best to trim or cut the hair(weave).
What about heat styling?
If you have a partial leave out don't apply much heat on your own hair ,use more edge control creams or light leave in conditioners which are not water based. But on the weave curl or straighten away!!
How long should my weave be left in?
Not because your weave is still looking great it doesn't mean you should prolong your weave. I highly recommend changing your weave every 4-6wks,please do not exceed keeping in your weave for more than 8wks. Though you might wear a weave to protect your hair and help it grow, then it would be important to completely remove your weave, wash, condition and detangle your hair every 4-6wks. This will leave your hair fuller, stronger and healthier.

She Had Enough!!!
My client has decided to cut her hair for two reasons: one,she wants to look older,(how I wish I had that problem) and most importantly manageability, her hair is natural and gets greasy easily and therefore she shampoo her hair weekly.
So I proceed by shampoo and conditioning her hair, cut, blow dry then style.
